Well, I'd like to start off by saying "Samson" and "Purple Puzzle Pieces" have both been accepted into their second show! It was just the 1+2 show on Kendall's sixth floor tiny room gallery. On some of the posters around school, someone was cool enough to write "1+2=0" probably insinuating that the show sucked, but it really didn't. There's only a few pieces I'm not terribly fond of (3 out of 10 to be exact). Andrew also got two of his pieces accepted into the First and Second year students Painting show, "Self-Portrait" and his middle piece of his Triptych "Sexuality". I believe their both on his page (BlackChinchilla)and I suggest checking them both out if you haven't already.

Anywho, lets get back to back to what the entry was actually about: My recent submissions to deviantART. They're nothing special, just some life drawings from the beginning of the semester, aka charcoal drawings. My class has been working with pastel very recently and some of them aren't bad! I'll put these up either before or after break, probably not between (I'm going to Kansas City, MO with Andrew). but yeah, that's pretty much whats going on there. My pastel drawings are way difficult to do this time around. It's basically the same stuff I did at Finlandia's Life Drawing II, but at a higher level of skill. That's basically how it goes. I've been trying new techniques with flesh tones and it appears to be working except i can't seem to get the flesh dark enough where it belongs. To be perfectly honest, it's really fucking annoying, but I'm getting there. Today my instructor John McDonald said that I had one of the strongest pieces hanging up. I disagreed simply because I couldn't get the dark shadows. I'll just let you be the judge of it when I put it up.
